Anil Kumar is a Senior Partner in MSC’s Digital Financial Services domain focused on Payments and Distribution in India. He is a hands-on Development Banker and Technology Manager. Anil has more than two decades of experience through projects with development banks, commercial banks, international funding agencies, MFIs, community-based institutions, rural infrastructure projects, and major telecom players in India, China, and the USA.

His areas of expertise include large complex project management, program design and evaluation, microfinance, agriculture and non-farm sector finance, infrastructure finance, financial sector development, and payment systems—especially digital and alternate channels. Anil specializes in financial institutions’ due diligence, business planning, safe technology management, and technical assistance design.

Before joining MSC, Anil was the Program Manager at Infosys, an Indian IT company. At Infosys, he undertook various roles, from setting up the platform and managing associated operations to policy development and technical assistance. Anil began his career with NABARD, a development financial institution, and worked across various development finance aspects, including agri and rural finance, infrastructure finance, policies, and institution building. Anil holds a Master’s degree in Management and Technology, specializing in Strategy and Finance from various leading institutions like IIM-Bangalore and IIT-Kharagpur, respectively. He is fluent in English and Hindi.
