Essential Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; additional proficiency in data analysis, digital, and AI tools is an advantage.
- Excellent ability to prepare reports and presentations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills, with experience developing and delivering compelling presentations.
- Skilled in conducting detailed sector and thematic research, analyzing complex data, and translating findings into strategic insights.
- Proven project management skills, with experience planning and executing medium to large technical assistance assignments.
- Demonstrated expertise in business development, including proactive opportunity identification, proposal drafting, and high-level business development activities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
Project Execution (as per requirement)
- Planning and Implementation: Support the planning and execution of medium to large technical assistance assignments, ensuring efficient delivery in line with project requirements.
Quality Control and Publication Contribution
- Ensure the quality of deliverables such as report writing, data analysis, training courses, research papers, curriculum development, and technical assistance.
- Client Interaction: If required, work from the client's location and act as a representative of MSC. Serve as a point of contact for all client interactions and provide operational/technical support as per agreed terms.
Business Development
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging issues in sustainable agriculture, food systems, and related focus areas.
- Support Senior Management: Assist senior management and leadership in planning and executing business development activities.
- Proposal Development: Support or lead the creation of concept notes/proposals, including conceptualizing, drafting, and refining proposals for potential projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Continuous Learning: Continuously enhance expertise in food security, agriculture, food systems, climate change, and digital agriculture through learning, training, and participation in relevant forums.
Human Capital Development
- Feedback and Improvement: Conduct "Quality of Delivery" assessments with team members or assignment leaders after assignments, following quality control guidelines. Seek feedback and guidance from colleagues to foster continuous improvement.
- Knowledge Sharing and Mentoring: Share valuable knowledge with team members and actively pursue learning opportunities within the organization to contribute to professional growth.

Requirements
Qualifications
- MBA or Master's Degree in Agriculture, Agri-Business, or Rural Management
- Master's in Rural Development or Agriculture Engineering
- Master's in Public Policy or Public Administration
- Relevant Master's Degree in related areas
Other Requirements
- Proficiency in data analysis and ability to translate research findings into actionable insights
- Experience in business development activities
- Experience working in consulting firms, think tanks, or donor agencies, as well as direct collaboration with government or multilateral agencies.
