Imran Matin is the the Country Director for Bangladesh at the International Growth Centre. He also serves as the Executive Director of the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.

Imran Matin joined the International Growth Centre as the Country Director for Bangladesh in 2018. He also serves as Executive Director of the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University. Dr. Matin started his professional career after his masters and PhD in Economics from the University of Sussex. He served as the International Programs Director of Save the Children International. His immediate past role has been as the Chief Research and Policy Officer of Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), a global research and evaluation organization working across twenty countries. He has been involved in major research studies on microfinance, extreme poverty, and social protection.
